I changed the color on the ground to contrast better with the player character. Got the obstacles in there - and the lettuce is coded to stop the player for a moment while the turtle eats - but having trouble getting the hill to act like a hill! Pixels are confusing. Never been into pixel art. I think if you were young enough to experience 16 bit blocky images when that was the best there was, describing it as 'art' and revering it as 'retro' seems very backwards.
